A respite care stay offers our guests increased social interaction, perhaps some new experiences in a different environment and a change of scenery – all great ways to lift your mood and improve wellbeing.
For the carer, a short break, provides an opportunity to rest, relax and recharge your batteries.
A respite stay could also serve as a trial stay to see if our care home might be a longer-term living option.

How we can help
No matter how brief your stay with us might be, we take the time to learn your likes and dislikes and tailor a care package that’s right for you, to ensure your stay with us is as homely as possible.
We offer around the clock medical care, looking after any medications, dressings, everyday personal care and are fully equipped with everything that might be required to look after you.
Activities and social events play a key part within our respite care offering, with a weekly planner full of a variety of different activities such as floristry, films, talks, art afternoons and much more.
Whether you choose to make the most of our activities programme, or spend your days relaxing in our beautiful acres of gardens, we’ll do everything we can to make your time with us feel like a little retreat.
A variety of meals are provided with an ever-changing menu from our highly talented chefs, for example dishes might include pea and potato pakoras with coconut and mint chutney or pan-fried duck breast in an orange and Cointreau sauce and homemade plum crumble served with vanilla custard for dessert.
Respite care for the elderly is currently available at Amesbury Abbey in Wiltshire and Sutton Manor in Hampshire.
We have a large number of returning respite residents, coming back year after year. They tell us it’s their luxury treat, too!
