Situated in the beautiful grounds of Amesbury Abbey in Wiltshire and Sutton Manor in Hampshire, you can enjoy living independently, choosing from a wide variety of property, with total peace of mind alongside other likeminded individuals. 

Our retirement communities offer homes including large three-bedroom detached houses, charming thatched cottages, converted stables and spacious apartments. All are surrounded by beautiful parkland with professional support from our care homes right on your doorstep. Living with us will allow you to have your freedom while enjoying the support that’s on hand to preserve your independence. 

In your home, you don’t need to worry about maintenance, cleaning, gardening and safety, as we will take care of that, so you are free to focus on the things that bring you joy. Your home can be filled with the comfort of your own furniture or art, and pets are also welcome.

Retirement community activities

As well as having your secure home, there are plenty of activities to do in our retirement communities. You are invited daily to attend a four-course lunch with other residents in the Manor or Abbey restaurant, but there are also a variety of other activities arranged. These include themed lunches, talks around various specialist subjects, beautiful days out to the beach or local gardens, and theatre visits for a bit of entertainment, exercise classes – the list is updated regularly. Retirement communities also offer a great opportunity to make friends. You have the choice to either relax or take part in the active community depending on what suits you. 

Take advantage of our onsite facilities including our hairdressing salons and at, Amesbury Abbey, a physiotherapy practice and residents' library. We also can recommend drivers if you would like to take a trip, and collect your prescriptions for you, free of charge.

Our staff really care about getting to know you. We enjoy a chat and take the time to listen; it allows us to spot if you are low or not feeling well, or you may have a trip planned and you would like us to look after your home.

Live independently

Being part of our retirement community at the Abbey or Manor allows you the right to live in your home with us for as long as you wish and are safe to do so. It is also a lower cost than buying property on the open market. For most individuals, moving into a retirement community and selling their home means they release equity, and this can be used to fully enjoy the rest of their lives. Our quarterly charge then includes the majority of costs of living in the retirement community and other services we provide.

In our retirement community, you can live independently, however if you do need any extra support we are here to help. We can assist you to find a quality domiciliary care provider. Alternatively, with a little notice, our care team can support you in the Abbey in Wiltshire or the Manor in Hampshire on a short, or long term basis.
