We had a wonderful spring break, and residents at both the Abbey and the Manor enjoyed fun Easter crafts over the weekend before joining friends and family for our fabulous annual egg hunt in the grounds.
Over the weekend, our Abbey residents had great fun working on these beautiful creatures made from just crushed eggshells and a little paint. From squirrels to turtles, they made a dazzling Easter display.

Meanwhile, those at Sutton Manor were busy icing delicate Easter biscuits, creating beautiful bunnies, eggs, chicks and carrots. Great fun was had by all, and didn’t they look fabulous?
On Easter Sunday, all our residents woke up to a beautiful bunch of spring flowers put together by our much-loved florist, Sylvia. They were delivered with handmade soap eggs fragranced with rosy apple, aloe vera, sugar plum, amber, and honey, which came from a brilliant little Scottish producer we found on our travels.
Then – even though the skies were grey – our intrepid egg hunters turned out in force to seek out the eggs hidden in our beautiful grounds.

They were certainly committed, and it was just lovely to see staff and residents’ children and grandchildren taking part together.
Thanks for coming along everyone. See you again next year!
