We’re so lucky to have beautifully maintained grounds that look spectacular all year round.
But there are a few little jobs we can do to keep our own patio and balcony displays looking good this autumn - and also prepare for the spring.
Keep your summer hanging baskets and pots looking lovely until the first frosts by deadheading and feeding regularly.
Create colourful containers for autumn using heathers and cyclamen.
Pot up tender perennials such as fuchsias from your summer displays and bring them indoors before the temperatures drop.
Plant dwarf spring bulbs in pots for early flowers. This includes irises, crocuses, daffodils, hyacinths, bluebells, snake's head fritillaries and scilla.
Birds love sunflower seedheads, so leave them in place to keep our feathered friends happy!
