Residents, friends and family gathered in a marquee on the lawn by the Pavilion Summerhouse at Sutton Manor to celebrate the 100th birthday of one of our longest standing residents, The Hon. Philippa Weatherly, who has lived with us in the Sutton Mews for 18 years.
A magnificent afternoon tea was provided by Annabelle Mclay to the wonderful jazz of Sebastien Guard and 'The Weatherly 100', fresh off the Queen Mary.
It was an absolutely joyous occasion filled with laughter and bon homie.
We can only hope that we have just a little of Mrs Weatherly's zest for life and sense of humour as our years advance.
